Will Post-Brexit trade talks with the EU fail?

UNIVERSITY NEWS LAST UPDATED : 27 APRIL 2020

Centre for Brexit Studies Director Professor Alex de Ruyter has shared his thoughts and views on coronavirus (COVID-19) and the issues Prime Minister Boris Johnson needs to deal with during his first week back at work.

In a video shared today, the expert discussed the ongoing Post-Brexit trade talks, after the EU’s chief negotiator said that there has been disappointing progress with the talks, and what this could mean for the Brexit process.

With Boris Johnson set to press EU leaders to dedicate attention to faltering negotiations, Professor de Ruyter also discussed if there are any other options than a ‘No Deal’, and if Government Ministers could change their mind on extending the transition period because of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
