Centre for Brexit Studies Senior Fellow Dr Steven McCabe has shared his thoughts and views on coronavirus (COVID-19) and if we can expect lockdown to be extended for longer than June or July, and what impact this could have on the economy.
The expert also discussed the impact COVID-19 could have on seaside towns and tourist destinations, as seasonal traders face an uncertain future. Dr McCabe also discussed if and when international travel could recover from the ongoing crisis, and if UK holidaymakers will choose to stay home over the next few years.
The EU and UK also return to Brexit negotiations this week. However, three full negotiating rounds were supposed to have been completed by now. The expert analyses if the deadline for extension will need to be assessed soon.
