Centre for Brexit Studies Director Professor Alex de Ruyter has shared his expertise and views on the recent meeting between Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen and the future of the UK-EU partnership in a post-Brexit landscape.

The expert has also discussed the UK leaving the EU at the end of the month and how this is much more certain now there is a Conservative majority in Parliament.

With Sir Keir Starmer securing enough support to run as Labour leader, Professor Alex de Ruyter analyses what makes him the most popular choice so far, compared to other candidates including Rebecca Long-Bailey, Jess Philips and Lisa Nandy.

He also discussed the likelihood of a second Scottish Referendum this year, or if it will be a much slower process.
