The impact of COVID-19 and Brexit on the West Midlands

Centre for Brexit Studies Director Professor Alex de Ruyter has shared his thoughts and views around the impact COVID-19 and Brexit could have on ‘regional rebuilding’ across the UK.

In a video shared today, the industry expert discussed ‘regional rebuilding’ and the impact of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis and Brexit uncertainty could have on the West Midlands, and wider UK.

Professor de Ruyter discussed COVID-19 and Brexit’s impact, or potential impact, on production in a wide variety of industries. The expert argues that we will need radical policy innovations to restore our economies after the Coronavirus crisis has passed.
