Post Brexit Manufacturing Challenges and Overcoming Them

At our latest online event, a panel of experts discussed the post-Brexit challenges of Manufacturing and how to overcome them.

Covid-19 and Brexit have combined to throw up severe challenges to manufacturers in the West Midlands.

As the new reality of trade barriers to the EU in the form of customs declarations, rules of origin stipulations and vehicle checks and export certification take hold, the event brought together leading experts in the fields of advanced manufacturing and supply chain resilience to explore how the sector can adapt to the disruptions now facing it.

The event was hosted by Professor Alex de Ruyter, Director at the Centre for Brexit Studies.

Panel members included Professor David BaileySenior Fellow at The UK in a Changing Europe, Professor of Business Economics at Birmingham Business School and Visiting Professor at the Centre for Brexit Studies, Professor Jan Godsell, Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Strategy at WMG, University of Warwick, Tom LeesonAutomotive Industry Specialist at OpenText, Ian Henry, Owner and Managing Director of AutoAnalysis and Visiting Professor at the Centre for Brexit Studies.
