At our latest online event, a panel of experts discussed a greener economy.

It is no secret that the economy is in need of becoming greener and more efficient, but what does this actually mean and how can we go about doing so? This event brought together different researchers and professionals who discussed greening the economy.

The event was hosted by Professor Alex de Ruyter, Director at the Centre for Brexit Studies.

Panel members included Professor David Bailey, senior fellow at The UK in a Changing Europe, Professor of Business Economics at Birmingham Business School, and Visiting Professor at the Centre for Brexit Studies, Vicky Pryce, Visiting Professor, BCU and Board member, Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), and Beverley Nielsen, who works for the Institute for Design, Economic Acceleration & Sustainability (IDEAS) at Birmingham City University and is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Brexit Studies. Beverley is co-editing a book on the Green Economy with Dr Steve McCabe, due to be published this summer, and is an Expert Commissioner for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Green Manufacturing.
