Project title: duO’Tray

Can you tell us a little more about your project?

DuO’Tray is a set of two trays made using plywood moulding techniques. The rounded trays with wooden lids make this set unique and playful. They can be used for serving food (waterproof resistant top coat) or as storage for small goods such as keys or change.

How important is being able to exhibit externally?

YVery, as you get to experience the industry from a professional perspective and get involved in speaking and showing your work.

What has your highlight of the course been so far?

Being able to work with real clients.

Could you tell us a little more about your design interests?

I absolutely enjoy any project that I get involved in where the creation is in my hands, whether I use digital programs such as Solid-works or Auto-cad or spending hours and hours in the workshop using real materials.

What advice would you give to someone considering studying Product and Furniture Design at BCU?

Be passionate, look up what will you gain from this course. You have to be really organised with your time management as it is really important in product design industry.
