Aiden Taylor
Aiden is the course leader for BA (Hons) Game Design and teaches Games Design and development at both undergraduate and post graduate levels
I originally joined BCU as a student, and the supportive environment and hands-on teaching made a huge impact on me. After graduating, I joined the academic team and have continued to grow with the department ever since. I’m passionate about helping students develop their skills through hands-on, industry-focused teaching and collaborative projects, ensuring they thrive in the gaming industry. My teaching focuses on tools like Unity and Unreal Engine, technical art, shaders, version control, optimisation, and team workflows. I want students to leave with a solid technical foundation and the confidence to work collaboratively in fast-paced, real-world environments by simulating professional workflows and encouraging iterative, reflective learning.
Biography
I’m a senior lecturer in the School of Law and Associate Director of the Centre for Human Rights. While I’ve been a full-time academic since 2018, my BCU journey began quite a few years ago now when I was an undergraduate.
