Biography

Naomi Sullivan studied at Chetham’s School of Music, Royal College of Music and Northwestern University. As a soloist she has performed across the UK on the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme and, as a result of competition success, has performed with Orchestras in Europe and USA.

As a chamber musician, Naomi is a member of Paragon and Zephirus saxophone quartets and Flotilla. As a result she has performed at the Purcell Room (Park Lane GroupYoung Artists Series), Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall (Royal Oversea’s League ensemble prizewinner) and Live Music Now!

Naomi has worked on a number of recording project including Flotilla, lead by Kyle Horch and Byrdland featuring coutertenor, Larry Zazzo. Further freelance engagements include performances with CBSO, Hallé Orchestra, BCMG, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. In 2009 she toured with the UK production of Chicago.

In addition to leading the Saxophone Department at Birmingham Conservatoire, Naomi has taught at the Purcell School.
