Born and raised in Hong Kong, and now resident in the UK. Andy Yau trained in Musical Theatre Dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and achieved a Master of Arts degree in Acting from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Theatre credits: John in Anything Goes (Sheffield Theatres and UK and Tour), Bun Foo in Thoroughly Morden Millie (U.K. Tour) Nana the Dog in Peter Pan (Asia tour), Bert Healy in Annie (Hong Kong), Agwe in Once on This Island (Hong Kong), Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd (Hong Kong). RBC Productions: Victor in The Dice House, Grisolan in The Duchess of Malfi, Parker in Lady Windermere’s Fan and King Duncan in Macbeth. Beside working as an actor, Andy also works as a Cantonese interpreter for the NHS and Tai Chi instructor as well as providing movement training and support for the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
