Helen is a CIPFA qualified accountant and began her career in public sector audit and assurance, conducting audit engagements for the NHS and local government clients. Upon leaving the Audit Commission she joined KPMG, one of the 'big four' accountancy firms, as an Assistant Manager. Her role at KPMG involved conducting audit and assurance engagements for a variety of clients.

In addition to teaching, Helen was involved in authoring learning materials and moderating professional examinations as well as having course management responsibilities. She also gained international experience, writing and delivering a Train the Trainer course at the Ss.
