Why study at Birmingham School of Acting?

Applications for the BA (Hons) Applied Performance (Community and Education) and BA (Hons) Stage Management should be made through the Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS).
If applying after 31 March, you can apply online via the relevant course page.
For the UCAS courses (Stage Management and Applied Performance) the deadline is 15 January.
You may submit a late application directly to the School after this date but you should check with the School first to see if they will accept a late application.
For BA (Hons) Acting, apply directly to the School according to the following deadlines:
- On-time deadline for applications: 15 January
- 'Late'* deadline for applications: 30 April
*'Late' applications cannot be guaranteed an audition and may be subject to a higher audition cost if extra audition sessions need to be arranged.
For the Foundation Course in Acting you should apply directly to the School by 31 July. Those wishing to apply after this date should contact the School first to check whether an application will be accepted.
For MA Acting, apply directly to the School according to these deadlines:
- On time deadline for applications - 31 May
- 'Late' applications may be accepted after 31 May but you should check with the School first (NB 'Late' applications cannot be guaranteed an audition and may be subject to a higher audition cost if extra audition sessions need to be arranged)
If applying through UCAS the course codes are:

Applications, Auditions and Interviews
All applications should be made online, via the relevant course page. For all courses apart from the Foundation Course in Acting, admission is via audition, interview or both. Please note that auditions in person at BSA are subject to a one-off, non-refundable charge of £46, which covers the both the initial and recall auditions, if applicable. Before we can schedule your audition, we must have received your audition fee.

You will need to give your full name and course applied for, as well as your card details.
Alternatively, you may send a cheque payable to ‘Birmingham City University’ to Marie Greene, Senior Administrator (Admissions and Enrollments), at the address below. (Please note, we no longer accept credit/debit card payment by post.)
You should send your payment within ten days of receiving your online application confirmation, if possible. Unfortunately, you will not be offered an audition until we have received your audition fee.
