Thank you Ofcom for this detailed research.
I have a couple of observations about the data.
You say that 18% of us now use A.I. to access news. Your own technical data broken down by ethnicity shows "Any use of A.I. for news: Black adults 46%. Mixed 32%. Asian 31%. White 18%".
And TV News:
News seen or heard on TV channels in the last month: Asian 63%, Mixed 71%, Black 78%, White 78%.
So on A.I., Black audiences are furthest ahead. On television, Asian audiences are furthest behind, and Black and White audiences are identical.
These groups are not moving together. They are moving in opposite directions depending on the platform.
Ofcom has the data. Should it have been highlighted?
