Innovation Fest 2017 in figures

2017 was an amazing year for Innovation Fest and we've got the numbers to prove it. 2018 is going to be even bigger:

Key facts:

  • 220 – Innovators. Made up of students from Computer Systems Technology, Electronics and Games programmes.
  • 50 – Final-year projects were presented.
2017 played host to some amazing projects, including:
  • An intelligent lighter to help quit smoking
  • Smart water bottles
  • Automated pet feeders
And prizes were awarded for:
  • Health and safety
  • Intelligent transportation
  • Entrepreneurialism
  • Social media recognition

2016 was an amazing year for Innovation Fest and we've got the numbers to prove it. 2017 is going to be even bigger:

Key facts:

  • 200 – Innovators. Made up of students from Computer Systems Technology, Electronics and Games programmes.
  • 55 – Projects exhibited at Millennium Point ground floor between 10am and 2pm.
  • 30 – lnnovation mentors and academics involved in supporting students and the delivery of the Festival
  • 22 – Strong judging panel, with key industry, innovation and research experts.
  • 350+ – Seat theatre at Millennium Point was home to talks and showcases throughout the day.
