International press success for Centre for Brexit Studies

UNIVERSITY NEWS LAST UPDATED : 23 MAY 2019

The Centre for Brexit Studies are celebrating international press success after CBC Canada broadcast a Brexit special including the Centre's academics.

CBC Canada recently filmed an afternoon at Birmingham City University's Curzon Building where a Brexit Meditation class took place, as well as discussions around the anxieties that Brexit uncertainty is causing people within the UK.

The session was hosted by Centre for Brexit Studies and Lecturer in Psychology Dr Rebecca Semmens-Wheeler for University staff and students.

The session allowed both students and staff to meditate, whilst giving them an opportunity to discuss Brexit, the impact on their health and how they think about those who voted differently to them in the EU Referendum.

CBC Canada filmed the session, as well as interviewing both Dr Rebecca Semmens-Wheeler, and the Centre for Brexit Studies Director Professor Alex de Ruyter.

Their filming session was broadcast on CBC Canada News 'The National', and is also available to watch on their YouTube channel now. Watch it here:
