Jonathan Jones

Jonathan Jones

Jonathan started out at Birmingham City University as a student on the BA (Hons) Media & Communication course. Since graduating in 2015, he has worked as a Content Author for Spark44; updating content for Jaguar Land Rover. Following this, Jonathan spent a year working in Student Affairs (Services) as an Operations Administrator; supporting the daily facilitation of the department, in addition to helping manage DLHE (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey), Meet & Greet and International Orientation Week.

Since mentoring and leading a team of Birmingham City University students to fundraise £3,000 each and climb up Mount Kilimanjaro for charity as Student Challenge Leader, Jonathan has always had a passion to support and engage students. That’s why since November 2016, he has been working as a Student Success Adviser for the School of Visual Communication, responsible for supporting students’ retention and engagement and monitoring attendance, whist acting as a bridge between academics, other students and support services.
