Kirsty Brook

Kirsty is a mental health nurse, and before coming to Birmingham City University she worked primarily within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Kirsty worked in community and hospital settings.

She is particularly interested in improving care for people who self harm, and trauma-informed mental health care. She is also interested in how Government Policy impacts how the NHS is run and how political decisions affect the health of individuals.
