Fashion Business and Promotion student Charnice wins big at GFW 2017

Graduate Fashion Week is one of the most important weeks in any fashion institution’s academic calendar. Every year we set up in London to celebrate the successes of our graduates, showcasing portfolios and catwalks to the eyes of the media, journalists and fashionistas.

While BA (Hons) Fashion Design students host a fabulous catwalk show, BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Promotion students are put forward for prestigious awards and every year we celebrate several nominations.

This year was exceptional.

Our students were nominated 13 times for awards, 5 of which were shortlisted. Congratulations to the following students: Georgina Taylor, Ross McLeish, Emily Reece and Sian McGinnes who were all nominated across various categories this year. A special mention to Maleece Wells, who became runner up for the New Business Award 2017.

This year’s biggest news saw Charnice Blaize, our graduating third year student, win the ASOS Future Talent Award for Communication, a highly prestigious award with a fantastic prize. Charnice is a fine example of a truly dedicated, committed and hardworking student who more than deserves this fantastic prize after receiving first class grades for every module and her incredible third year projects. She is a true entrepreneur, securing funding from BSEEN BCU and setting up her own online business- Blaized.

We are truly proud of all of our graduating students from BA (Hons) Fashion Business and Promotion this year and look forward to seeing their futures develop and employment secured in the coming months.
