Solicitor (non-practising). Admitted to the role in 1985. Joined a High Street as Articled clerk and rose to level of Senior Partner. Criminal Defence Advocate for over 20 years practising in local Magistrates and Crown Courts.
Duty solicitor qualified and Duty Solicitor coordinator and member of Regional Duty Solicitor Committee (now disbanded). Dealt with a mixed case load of Crime, Civil litigation and Employment Law. The later two disciplines expanded following the return of the firm’s crime contract to the LAA due to lack of financial viability.
Latterly prosecuted on an agency basis for Crown Prosecution Service.
