Vice-Chancellor's Welcome

Vice Chancellor Philip Plowden

I am delighted to welcome you to Birmingham City University and our inspiring community of students, staff and alumni. At BCU we believe that studying at university should be a transformative experience. Your time at BCU will provide you with the skills and confidence to succeed and make your mark on the world.

All of our courses are designed to make you more employable after university, and across our campuses you will find cutting edge facilities that will provide the best possible learning environment. Our students tell us about their pride in being part of our shared community – which is why you will see their pictures and their stories all around our campus – celebrating I AM BCU.

So I would like to wish you all the best as you begin your time at BCU. I hope you enjoy every moment of your time studying with us, and make the most of every opportunity which comes your way.
