Staff in the Psychology Department have extensive links with their professional colleagues who are working in the field, including those involved in counselling psychology, criminal and forensic psychology, health psychology and occupational psychology.

Partnerships and guest speakers

These close ties mean you can benefit from talking to a wide range of experts while you undertake your studies.

In addition, we hold regular sessions with guest lecturers which provide an excellent chance for you to learn from the expertise of high profile speakers, build contacts and network with professionals, and develop opportunities for employment after you graduate. Our recent speakers have come from such sectors as clinical psychology, coaching psychology, counselling psychology, criminal and forensic psychology and health and occupational psychology.

The Department maintains close links with The Higher Education Academy Psychology Network, exploring the skills of both our undergraduates and graduates, and has working connections with counselling settings where members practise.
