Paraic entered the world of academia through his interest in cognitive development, how the brain grows and changes, and the impact that ageing has on that process. Paraic completed his PhD at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, in 2010 and has worked at UCL and now BCU as a researcher and lecturer.
Paraic is a passionate teacher of biological psychology and neuropsychology, as well as the cognitive aspects of human development. He is interested in how decision-making is effected by real-world situations like jury decision making, as well as how ageing changes the way people process information.
