Eugene Nulman joined the Sociology division of the School of Social Sciences at Birmingham City University in 2015, having previously lectured at the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University.

Eugene received his PhD from the University of Kent where he researched the policy outcomes of climate change activism in the UK. His research interests are in political activism, social movement outcomes, political sociology and environmental sociology.

He is author of the book entitled 'Climate Change and Social Movements: Civil Society and the Development of National Climate Change Policy' and is a member of the Centre for the Study of Social and Political Movements as well as the Centre for Critical Social Research.

Eugene was awarded an MA in Political Sociology at the University of Kent in 2011 and BA in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley in 2008.
