Geraldine Murphy

Geraldine's specialist interests lie in educational research and Continual Professional Development, particularly around Learning Technology and the application of technologies within curriculum design. She is currently working towards a MPhil in digital literacy part-time and is working as the Academic Lead for Teaching and Learning within the higher education context. She has teaching experience in compulsory education, further education and higher education.

Most recently, she has been involved with;

  • Developing and delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops for academic staff
  • Academic Lead for Teaching and Learning activity across the institution
  • Policy and Procedure writing
  • Training all staff on the use of Learning Technologies
  • Strategic lead for Technology Enhanced Learning
  • Holds a lead role in learning design and curriculum redevelopment across provision
  • Teaching sessions for Undergraduate students on the use of the Virtual Learning Environment
  • Personal Academic Tutoring
