Research governance

We are committed to maintaining high standards of research integrity. Our research is managed in accordance with the Research Governance Framework in order to safeguard people who take part in health and social care research either directly or by allowing access to their records, or by providing samples of their tissues/organs.

All research projects are registered with the Health Research Office for monitoring and support, including ethical approval and indemnity.

If you are a researcher based outside the Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences, or outside Birmingham City University and wish to conduct research here, please begin by contacting our Faculty of HELS Research Office.
