PgCert in Research Practice
All students are expected to undertake the Postgraduate Certificate in Research Practice course which runs twice in each academic year. The course brings together research degree students from across the University to them to develop their fundamental research skills.
This helps to foster intellectual and social links between diverse disciplines and encourages independent scholarship. Each Faculty provides additional teaching to help students apply their research skills to their particular disciplines.
Assessment
Students are required to complete two items of course work in which they apply their fundamental research skills to aspects of their research design: literature reviewing and methodology.
