xCHANGE returns in online form for 2021, marking International Women’s Day at BCU.
xCHANGE2021 aims to reflect and celebrate the breadth and complexity of research taking place at BCU, and is an opportunity to hear about women’s lived experiences.
The event is open to all, and features a diverse menu of presentations, provocations and participation. See the full listings below.

#ChooseToChallenge CSPACE blog
The Centre for the Study of Practice and Culture in Education (CSPACE) is inviting staff across the University to contribute to the CSPACE Blog as part of the festival.
Submissions can take any form, including opinion pieces, research, reflections or stories, but must discuss the themes of equality, diversity and inclusion in education. For example, topics could include:
- Early years provision
- Formal schooling
- Further and higher education
- Informal/non-formal settings
- Online and digital learning communities
- Life-long learning.
Staff who are interested in applying should contact blog editor Kirsty Devaney with a proposed title by 8 March. Posts will then be highlighted throughout March.
