Following the success of last year's festival, 2020 sees the return of xCHANGE festival to International Women's Day 2020 at BCU.

xCHANGE 2020 is open to all BCU staff and students and takes place at the City Centre and City South campuses.

The festival features a diverse menu of presentations, provocations and participation. xCHANGE 2020 will highlight issues of equality; change that has taken place and change that still needs to happen. The programme is packed full of participatory events, panel discussions and performances. See the full listings below.

xCHANGE 2020 is funded by Invest in Equality, one of the Vice Chancellor's Strategic Investment Fund projects.

#ShowtheSash

Following huge demand to #ShowtheSash at xCHANGE 2019, this year there will be two sashes, one for City South Campus and one for City Centre Campus.

Wearing the sash, in Suffragette colours, in class, meetings or during lunch is a way of bringing the subject of women's equality into everyday life

Watch out for the sashes around campuses or sign up to wear one here.

Festival Passport

A unique souvenir festival ‘passport’ will also be available with details of all the events and space to stamp for each one attended.

The Feminist Playlist

Listen out for the Feminist Playlist on Brum Radio on 2 and 23 March from 4 - 6pm. The shows will feature playlists of feminist songs selected and curated by BCU staff and students and members of the public. Find out how you can take part here.
