The Federation of Children’s Book Groups is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a Festival of Children’s Literature.
It will include three past Children’s Laureates: A Treasury of Songs with Julia Donaldson (with a special guest appearance from the Gruffalo), the celebrated Jacqueline Wilson and the author and illustrator Chris Riddell.
Hosted at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, an exciting day is in store. Individual talks in our Concert Hall are followed by the opportunity for book signings as you’re invited to enter a literature-lover’s haven in a specially curated bookshop installation.
Jacqueline Wilson be available after her performance to meet and greet children in the bookshop.

10.30am - 11.30am - A Treasury of Songs with Julia Donaldson, with a guest appearance by the Gruffalo (suitable for ages 3+)
12pm - 12.50pm - Award-winning storyteller Anna Conomos performs Baba Yaga with local school children and audience participation. Free entry. (suitable for ages 3+)
1.30pm - 2.15pm - Jacqueline Wilson (suitable for ages 8+)
3.00pm - 3.45pm - Chris Riddell (suitable for ages 9+)
