The next two events in the ‘Intersections of Injustice’ conference series are now available to book. The series focuses on equality, diversity and inclusion best practice, and how this can be used to combat injustice.

Social Commentator, Cultural Historian and Health Activist Dr Patrick Vernon OBE will speak at the next event on Wednesday 13 October, which will focus on Black British History. The talk will be hosted by Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Imogeen Denton and also feature Race Equality Charter Project Manager James Boston.

Working across both the public and private sectors, Patrick has developed and managed services including social care, mental health, public health, cultural heritage, employment and regeneration. Currently the Chair of the Citizens Partnership for the Health Safety Investigation Branch, Associate Director for Connected Communities for the Centre for Ageing Better and the Director of Every Generation Media, Patrick is a leading expert on African genealogy in the UK and campaigns passionately about Windrush.
