Dr Mandy French (HELS) and guest speaker Sukhwinder Salh (Aston University) will be facilitating a discussion about some of the barriers women researchers and academics face in academia. Mandy has been leading on the submission of the School of Education and Social Work’s Departmental Athena SWAN application, which focuses on breaking down barriers for women working and researching in higher education. Sukhwinder will be discussing the data collected for her doctoral thesis “What do the experiences of Asian Academic Women reveal about the value of networks in order to pursue career opportunities in the field of HE”.
This event is hosted by the HELS ECR network and open to all Early Career Researchers at BCU.
