Architecture PG Event

Drop-in to our informal pizza evening to find out about studying a Master’s in Birmingham School of Architecture and Design. Whether you’re thinking of continuing your previous studies in the discipline to take you to the next level, or you’re looking to specialise after gaining an undergraduate degree in another subject, our staff and current students will be on hand to answer all of your questions.

Our postgraduate courses

Our range of Master’s degrees includes the following management-based courses that are open to applicants from a variety of backgrounds:

MA Design and Visualisation

MA Design Management

If you’re interested in becoming an architect, we have Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Architect Registration Board (ARB) accredited courses to help you achieve that:

MArch Architecture (RIBA Part 2 Exemption)

PgDip Architectural Practice (RIBA Part 3 Exemption)

Our MA Landscape Architecture includes a conversion year, providing you with the skills you need if you haven’t studied Landscape Architecture previously.

We offer a unique Master’s in Conservation for the Historic Environment – perfect for potential surveyors.

We also offer the following design-based Master’s degrees, which are for applicants with an undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) from a creative background:

MA Interior Architecture and Design

MA Product and Furniture Design

Who should attend?
  • Current Birmingham City University undergraduate students from any discipline – whether you’re studying an undergraduate degree within Arts, Design and Media, or whether you’re studying something entirely different but want to specialise your focus in a new area at Master’s level.
  • Those thinking of applying for a postgraduate course in Architecture and Design, looking to start in September 2018.
  • Those currently holding an offer for a postgraduate course in Architecture and Design for September 2018
