Whether you’re thinking of continuing your previous studies in the discipline to take you to the next level, or you’re looking to specialise in one of our courses after gaining an undergraduate degree in another subject, our staff and current students will be on hand to answer all of your questions.
Our postgraduate courses
Our range of Master’s degrees includes the following hands on, production courses that are open to applicants from a variety of backgrounds and experiences:
You could have a 2:1 undergraduate degree in a related area or great industry experience.
We also offer the following journalism based courses, for applicants interested in improving their journalism and writing skills for a range of media outlets and platforms.
You could have a 2:1 undergraduate degree in a related area and proven industry experience, along with a passion for the journalism industry.
Our PR Masters courses cover a range of entry requirements, so if you’re ready to learn a new skill, or improve your current writing and PR skills, then take a look at the list below.
Whether you have an undergraduate degree in English or other related subject, or a previous qualification in Public Relations and want to advance your career, then come along to chat to a tutor and see where your future could take you.
Who should attend?
- Current Birmingham City University undergraduate students from any of the disciplines and areas described above – whether you’re currently studying a closely related undergraduate degree, or whether you’re studying in a different faculty, but want to specialise your focus in a new area at Master’s level.
- Those thinking of applying for a postgraduate course in the wide arena of Media and Communications and looking to start in September 2018.
Those currently holding an offer for a postgraduate course at the School of Media for September 2018.
On arrival, please go to the reception desk in The Parkside Building where you will be shown to the room. For current students, the event will take place in P130.
