Fashion Postgraduate Event 2018- 620x414

Drop-in to our informal pizza evening to find out more about studying a Master’s in Fashion or Textiles. Whether you’re thinking of continuing your previous studies in the discipline to take you to the next level, or you’re looking to specialise in Fashion or Textiles after gaining an undergraduate degree in another subject, our staff and current students will be on hand to answer all of your questions.

Our postgraduate courses

Some of our Master’s degrees (listed below) are open to applicants from a variety of backgrounds, so we would consider applicants with undergraduate degrees (or equivalent work experience) from any discipline:

MA Cosmetics Branding and Promotion
MA Fashion Management
MA Fashion Promotion
MA Luxury Brand Management

We also offer the following Master’s degrees, which would require you to submit a portfolio of creative work as part of the application process:

MA Fashion Design
MA Fashion Styling
MA Garment Technology
MA Textile and Surface Design

This doesn’t have to be within the field of Fashion and Textiles. You may have a degree or experience in another creative subject, such as Graphic Design, Illustration, Art or Visual Communications, unless you are applying for MA Fashion Design or MA Garment Technology. If applying for MA Fashion Design or MA Garment Technology, you need an undergraduate design in Fashion Design (or equivalent work experience).

Who should attend?
  • Current Birmingham City University undergraduate students from any discipline – whether you’re studying an undergraduate degree in Fashion or Textiles, or whether you’re studying something entirely different but want to specialise your focus in a new area at Master’s level.
  • Those thinking of applying for a postgraduate course in Fashion and Textiles, looking to start in September 2018.
  • Those currently holding an offer for a postgraduate course in Fashion and Textiles for September 2018
