Birmingham Urban Studies Launch Event
The Birmingham Urban Studies cluster embodies the University's strategic aim to transform Birmingham and the region through innovative, ground-breaking research into criminality and deviance in this part of the UK.
Formally launching on Thursday 1 March 2018, Birmingham Urban Studies will bring together criminologists, scholars, practitioners and community figures with vast and varied experiences of researching both with those engaged in criminal activity and with those tasked with tackling crime and its effects.
The launch will consist of keynote speakers with backgrounds in politics, policing, academia and criminal justice. A finalised agenda will be circulated near to the date of the event.
It is a free event that is open to all. Refreshments will be available and the launch will provide the opportunity for networking and critical explorations of emerging issues and discussions.
