Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Orchestra with Special Guests Dave Holland, Nate Smith and Stan Sulzmann
City of Sounds Festival
£12 (£10) (£5, BCU students)
Wolverhampton born bassist, composer and bandleader Dave Holland has been performing and recording for over five decades. From Miles Davis to Pat Metheny, during this time he has collaborated with some of the greatest names in jazz.
Dave Holland holds a special relationship with Birmingham Conservatoire's Jazz Department, having visited us for many residencies and gigs in our recent history and it is an honour to welcome him back to help mark the last ever jazz gig in the Adrian Boult Hall. Directing the Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz orchestra from the bass, he will be joined by drummer of many shared recordings and tours, the incredible Nate Smith, and another close associate, the inimitable saxophonist Stan Sulzman as guest soloist.
This event is supported by BCU Graduate+
