Carol Service 2021

This joyous event will be an opportunity to gather the BCU community for some festive cheer, this year returning to the Birmingham Cathedral.

The service will include traditional readings and carols led by musicians from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Join us for mulled wine and mince pies after the service.

All are welcome so please feel free to share the invitation with friends at BCU and our wider community.

Live streaming

For those who would prefer to attend virtually, a live stream of the Carol Service will be available on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel. Watch the live stream here.

You can download the Order of Service here.

Free transport from City South Campus

Free transport is available from City South Campus - please choose the ticket and transport ticket option when registering for your ticket.

Transport tickets are limited, are offered on a first come, first served basis, and must be booked by Friday 26 November, 5pm.

Charity collection

There will be a charity collection following the service in aid of two charities: one of the University's chosen charities, Acorns Children's Hospice, and St Chad's Sanctuary, which has supported refugees from Afghanistan following the crisis earlier this year.

Online donations can also be made for Acorns via our JustGiving page, or for St Chad’s Sanctuary via CAF Donate.

Covid safety

Hand sanitiser will be available on arrival and face masks are strongly encouraged during the service.

If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, please do not attend the service.
