Access Your Future: Access Creative College Birmingham Christmas Gig

The evening will include a diverse range of acts, a prize raffle, and networking
opportunities to help answer any questions there may be around the courses
Choosing where to study after secondary school can be a really hard decision and process, especially
if you’re interested in studying the creative industries. Access Creative College Birmingham hope to
make that process easier, while showcasing the college’s talent and diversity and welcome the public
to a free night of creative musical entertainment. The planned line up for the evening is an Asian
Bhangra Dance group, The Church of God gospel choir, a range of pre-auditioned student
performances, with a guest appearance from Access Creative College alumni, CallMeUnique.
The event will be held in the Performance Area at Access Creative College on Heath Mill Lane, in the
heart of Birmingham’s creative quarter, Digbeth. The main event is being held from 6pm until 10pm
but there is also a choir made up fully of staff members from the college performing in the Zellig
Building in the Custard Factory in the afternoon before the event. In the evening, there will also be a
prize raffle and food available.
Access Creative College are the only college in Birmingham who’s curriculum focusses on the creative
industries but not solely music – the pride themselves on their course development, and now offer
four course areas – Music, Media, Games, and most recently, Events – and run 17 courses in total.
Access Creative College have taught and helped start the careers of Ed Sheeran (their patron), Rita
Ora and Jess Glynne, and P0gman, Rebekah and Stephanie May specifically from the Birmingham
