On Thursday 12 December, top international accounting software company Sage came to Birmingham City University to present an award to the Accounting, Finance and Economics Department with a joint Sage / Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) recognition award.
The plaque was awarded to the team for outstanding achievement on the Sage Accounts results this year for our first year Accounting students.
They also presented a special certificate of achievement to our top Sage student, second year BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance student Reneta Atanasova, who got 100% in her Sage Accounts exam. As additional recognition from Sage of this remarkable achievement in a difficult exam, Sage also presented Reneta with a new iPad.
This award highlights the continuing attempts by our Accounting, Finance and Economics department, and the wider Birmingham City Business School, to enhance our student’s employability, placement and graduation prospects. This is supported by the Careers+ team who were present at the award ceremony.
