Amanda Andrews has been a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Birmingham City University over the last 12 years and has taught at both undergraduate and post qualification levels. She currently works on the BSc Nursing programme.

Prior to working at the University she worked as a registered nurse in the Community and Primary Care settings.  Amanda specialised in District Nursing initially and then went on to become a Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Nurse before joining the teaching team at the university.

Amanda has recently worked in clinical practice as a Bowel Specialist Nurse for a private company and continues to maintain clinical links with practice partners local to the university.

Amanda is passionate about healthcare education and has written and published internationally, and presented at the RCN Education Conference 2012. She is currently working on
