Ian Fox-Williams

Ian Fox-Williams

Director of International Recruitment and Development

School of Law
0121 331 6630

Ian has strategic oversight and responsibility for all international activity in the School of Law from international student recruitment, development of partnerships with overseas institutions, designing collaborative courses taught overseas, as well as student and staff international mobility.

During his time in HE, Ian has built up significant experience that has included developing and teaching on collaborations with overseas universities, travelled extensively representing BCU law and more recently developed the School’s foundation programme as well as leading on the expansion of law courses delivered by overseas partners. As an experienced external examiner, he works with a number of universities on the quality assurance of their law courses.  His research interest is the idea that transnational education (TNE) can act as a meaningful form of widening participation for students, who for valid reasons feel that they cannot traditionally study on campus at university.
