Inspired Family Day
On Saturday 8 June Birmingham City University will throw its doors open in celebration of World Oceans Day, for an action-packed day of free and fun-filled events and activities for all ages.
From under the sea virtual reality and eco-friendly jewellery making, to sustainable fashion and junk modelling, there will be lots for families to do, experience and learn at our multi-million pound City Centre Campus situated in the heart of Birmingham.
Part of the University’s annual Inspired Festival, this event will also showcase the talent and creativity of our Arts, Design and Media students, as well as give visitors the chance to meet with our world-class academics, who are training the next generation of leading professionals.
ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE*
Virtual reality, pebble painting, storytelling at sea, sandcasting jewellery making, plastic junk modelling, ocean dwelling bug gunge tank, make-and-take sessions, arts and craft drop-ins, sporting competitions, food and drink** and much, much more!
