Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences has been awarded the Skills for Health Quality Mark for a second time.
The Skills for Health Quality Mark provides a framework for assuring the effective delivery of high quality learning and training to the health sector. The award endorses the virtue of the delivery of training and learning, and its suitability.
The University’s Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences is one of the largest and most diverse providers of health and social care education in the country, with courses ranging from Nursing, Operating Department Practice, Public and Community Health, Radiography, and Speech and Language Therapy.
Gerri Nevin, Associate Professor and Head of Department Pre-Qualifying Healthcare Practice at Birmingham City University, said: “We’re thrilled that the Faculty has been awarded the, the Skills for Health Quality Mark for our Health related courses once again.
“It is the only standard for the UK's health sector which defines and endorses superior delivery of learning and training that healthcare employers need for a highly motivated and effective workforce.
“This award is a recognition of the hard work colleagues in the Faculty have done in supporting our employer partners and their staff and ensuring that we deliver courses that meet the needs of service users, patients and their families.”
