Submission guidance
How to apply, what to submit, where to upload and deadlines.
The conference is open to all students (foundation, BA, MA and PhD) in the School of Fashion and Textiles.
To apply, please submit two to three images and a detailed abstract which outlines your work using the guidelines below. Make sure that you include which format you would like to present your work in, eg, poster, presentation or an object. The deadline for submitting abstracts and images is 17th February 2020.
All submitted abstracts will be blind peer-reviewed. For those who are selected, we will provide tutorials to help you get ready to present.
Selected submissions will be presented on the day of the conference, 25 March 2020. They will be judged by an expert panel, with prizes for the best entries.
Presentation formats:
Poster: an A2 poster in pdf format. All imagery should be high resolution/good quality and referenced if from a secondary source. The conference will pay for printing.
Presentation: You will present on the day of the conference for approximately 10 minutes.
Object: Garment(s), material samples, video or digital outputs or any other item that embodies your sustainability related research.
Abstract content guidelines:
Your abstract should be 300-500 words, covering the topics below. To help the reviewers, include two to three images that represent your work.
