School of English

Anna Lawrence Pietroni is a Lecturer in Creative Writing in the School of English. She read English at University College, Oxford, gained an MA in Children’s Literature from the University of Warwick and worked her way through a variety of jobs (including graphic designer and trainee prison governor) before committing to writing fiction. Before coming to Birmingham City University, Anna was a member of Writing West Midlands’s ‘Room 204’ Writer Development Programme and ran writing workshops across the region.
