School of English

Jackie Gay is a writer and creative writing tutor.

She became disabled when she lost her leg in a car accident in Africa and this experience, along with her natural interest in the arts, has driven her research into the medical humanities.

She has published two novels, edited three collections of short stories and has just completed an historical biography and a memoir.

She is also a Paralympic sailor campaigning for Rio 2016.
