Nicola Worgan

Nicola has spent 13 years working as an English teacher abroad, in Secondary Schools, in FE and Adult Education.

She has held various roles of responsibility such as Head of Department, KS5 lead, KS4 Curriculum Lead, Professional Tutor and ITT mentor.

She joined BCU in 2019, supporting various departments in the School of Education as a Visiting Lecturer. In November 2019 she began the role as a full time lecturer for the BCU Secondary English PGCE course.

During her time in schools and colleges Nicola had experience of teaching KS3 English, GCSE Language and GCSE Literature, GCSE resit courses and A-level English. She has also taught Study Skills on the Access to HE pathway and A-level drama.

In addition to her teaching roles, Nicola has been an examiner for both GCSE and A-level English since 2008.
