Auditions

Following your audition, a decision will be made on your application by the audition panel. This decision is then relayed to the Admissions Team to process in the system. You will be notified of our decision on your UCAS account and via email.

Please see the Frequently Asked Questions below for further details.

There are a number of different decisions that can be made:

  • Guaranteed Unconditional – this means you have been successful at audition and have already met the academic entry requirements to the course. Please note that you will be required to provide evidence of these qualifications before you can enrol onto the course.
  • Guaranteed Conditional - this means you have been successful at audition but still need to meet the academic entry requirements. These conditions will be detailed in the offer communication emailed to you and on your UCAS account. You will be required to meet the conditions of the offer before you can enrol onto the course.
  • Reserve Unconditional – this means you have been placed in the pool of reserve candidates. We may be able to make you a guaranteed offer if a suitable place becomes available. The status of the decision is reserve unconditional as you have already met the academic entry requirements to the course. If we are able to upgrade you to a guaranteed offer, you will be required to provide evidence of your qualifications before you can enrol onto the course.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I know about the outcome of my audition?

For applicants who have auditioned for us during our main audition period in November and December, we aim for our decision to be communicated to you by the 25th of December each year. However, please note that this is sometimes not possible and a decision may be made on your application early in the new year.

If you auditioned outside the main audition period you should normally hear from us within two weeks of your audition date.

Successful applicants who have accepted offers will be contacted during the summer about Welcome Week and how to complete enrolment.

To ensure we can reach you by mail, email or telephone (including over the Christmas period), please ensure you inform us of any changes in your contact details. If you have applied through UCAS Conservatoires you can update your contact details on the tracking system via UCAS Conservatoires Track.

How am I notified of the decision?

Candidates who have applied through UCAS Conservatoires will receive offers via UCAS Conservatoires Track. In your account you will see details of the course offered, along with any entry conditions you are required to meet, including details of any qualifications you need to send to us. In addition, we will send a confirmation email with further information on what to do next.

To access UCAS Conservatoires Track you will need the login details you used to make your application. You will receive an email notification when updated information is available. Successful applicants can accept their offer through UCAS Conservatoires Track. Please see the website: Replying to your UCAS Conservatoires Offers for further details.

If I am unsuccessful can I obtain feedback on my audition?

Due to the volume of applications received, we do not automatically provide individual feedback for every unsuccessful application. However, you can request feedback from us by emailing the appropriate inbox below. Please include your full name, the course you have applied for and your BCU or UCAS ID number to ask for feedback:
