Dvořák Symphony No.8
Join the Conservatoire’s Repertoire Orchestra for an end-of-term concert containing music from three different centuries. The programme begins with a brand new piece by RBC composer Georgia Denham. In the second-half Daniele Rosina will lead the orchestra in Dvořák’s Symphony No.8, a lyrical and optimistic work composed in 1889 and premiered by the composer the following year.
In between, Advanced Postgraduate Diploma piano student Daniel Lebhardt plays Mozart’s 19th concerto, written in 1784 for the composer to perform himself.
