Daisy Hibberd is a Lincolnshire born soprano, studying in her fourth year at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the tutelage of Maureen Brathwaite. Whilst at RBC Daisy has undertaken the role of Oberto in Handel’s Alcina in the December 2018 Opera Scenes, and has been apart of the chorus for Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Offenbach’s La vie Parisienne and Britten’s Beggar’s Opera.
During her time at the Conservatoire Daisy has developed a passion for early music taking part in concerts celebrating the life of Couperin, exploring the works of Barbara Strozzi and Monteverdi and singing duets, trios and solo pieces alongside Elizabeth Pallett on the theorbo. Whilst studying in Birmingham Daisy has been a part of both RBC's Camerata and Chamber choirs; Daisy appears as a part of the Chamber Choir on their CD The Glory and the Dream: Choral Music by Richard Rodney Bennett released in 2018. Daisy has also been involved in the CBSO chorus, singing in venues such as Symphony Hall, Birmingham and the Royal Albert Hall.
